What is Lidocaine HCl?
First,Lidocaine HCl is a versatile local anesthetic and antiarrhythmic drug. It is widely utilized for infiltration anesthesia, epidural anesthesia, surface anesthesia (including mucosal anesthesia during thoracoscopy or abdominal surgery), and nerve conduction block.
Second,Lidocaine HCl is classified as an amide local anesthetic.
As the dosage increases, both the therapeutic effects and potential toxicity rise. At sub-toxic plasma concentrations, it exhibits anti-convulsive properties.
Blood concentrations exceeding 5μg/ml can induce convulsions.
Third,In low doses, Lidocaine HCl promotes K+ outflow in cardiomyocytes, reduces myocardial automaticity, and provides antiarrhythmic benefits.
Usage of Lidocaine HCl:

2.Lidocainealso serves as a temporary solution for tinnitus. While it does not cure the disorder, it can reduce its effects by approximately two-thirds.
3.Lidocaine Hydrochlorideinjection, when administered intravenously or intramuscularly, is specifically indicated for the acute management of ventricular arrhythmias associated with acute myocardial infarction or during cardiac manipulations such as surgery.
